Piercing Aftercare

Clean of your new body piercing two times daily with soft soap (such as dial Antibacterial).
Do NOT use Rubbing alcohol or hydrogen peroxide.
During the two daily cleanings, it is necessary to rotate the jewelry so that the cleaning solution is worked well into the new piercing. After waiting a few moments, rinse the area well under running water. use a moistened cotton swab to remove discharged matter on jewelry prior to the cleaning. If minor infection is suspected, the temporary use of antibiotic ointment such as Neosporin, Mycitracin, or Bacitracin is acceptable. Prolonged use of these products for more than seven days may cause problems by actually slowing the healing process. Serious infection, however unlikely, should be examined immediately by a physician.
